On Site we treat three types of Helix snails (Pomatia, Lucorum & Aspersa Muller or Petits Gris), and produce a wide variety of snail-based products ideal for the global retail industry. All the snails are collected alive/wild from the broader region of Eastern Europe, the Baltic countries, and the Greek territory.


The land snail of the genus Helix and the family Helicidae is a snail native to Europe and the regions surrounding the Mediterranean Sea. It is a very nutritious and low in calories food. The 100 grams contain 75 calories, 14% protein, 2% carbohydrates and only 1% fat. Furthermore, it has very low salt content, and is a rich source of vitamins, minerals and metals, particularly iron, potassium and magnesium.
This type of snail has been introduced in the diet of various countries around the world, with the main: France, Spain, Italy, Portugal, Greece, Belgium, Cyprus, Malta, Australia, Hong Kong, Canada and USA.

We collect the following types of snails:

Helix Pomatia. The original authentic vine-yard snails.

Helix Lucorum. Snails of Northern Greece origin.

Helix Aspersa Muller or Petits Gris. Snails from Crete and the Peloponnese.

 

From the processing of the above we produce and market the following snail based food products:

Snail shells

Flavored butter
